Meals during Remote Learning

Nutritious meals are available to all Kent School District students every Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at select schools and bus stops across Kent School District, including a site at Emerald Park, during remote learning.

Each small box (12 in. x 8 in. x 8 in.) contains:
  • Meals for the days that school is in session that week. Most boxes will contain five breakfasts and lunches; however, the number of meals will be adjusted for holidays and non-school days because federal regulations allow meals to be provided for school days only.
  • A menu with instructions for refrigeration and heating items inside.

Lunch Money Now

Each student has an exclusive, individual meal account identified by the Kent School District student identification number. Money may be paid into the student's account in advance, then meals are deducted from the account.

Prepayment by cash or check at school may be for any amount. Visa or MasterCard may be used for prepayments of $20.00 or more by contacting Nutrition Services, or payments can be made online using Lunch Money Now.

Apply for
Free/Reduced-Cost Meals

Kent School District participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Breakfast and lunch are available at no cost or at a reduced price for qualifying students.

Families must reapply each school year. Students who were on the program in the previous school year must submit an application within 30 days of the start of the new school year to avoid a gap in benefits.

Applications can be completed online or printed off and turned in to Nutrition Services.
